NORTH AMERICAN WETLANDS CONSERVATION COUNCIL (CANADA)

The North American Wetlands Conservation Council (NAWCC) (Canada) provides a national coordinating mechanism for the implementation of the North American Waterfowl Management Plan (NAWMP), and takes a leadership role in wetlands policy and awareness. NAWCC (Canada) provides leadership to the Canadian Habitat and Species Joint Ventures through which NAWMP goals are achieved. It also serves as the national coordinating committee information for development and implementation of national level wetland policies and programs in Canada.

Each year Canada highlights its achievements of the Canadian NAWMP partnership, on both a national and joint venture (regional) level. Take a look to find descriptions and photos of on-the-ground projects in Canada’s four habitat joint ventures and information on the important research and monitoring activities in three international species joint ventures from the past year.
